TCSA to provide DGC Nuclear Installation in Brazil
TCSA is excited to broaden its market penetration with our first DGC installation in South America. In our first partnership project with Westinghouse Nuclear, TCSA will be performing a voltage regulator retrofit at Brazil’s ANGRA Nuclear Plant. The project is on a fast track -- due to ship at the end of July for an August 2010 installation. “It is very exciting for TCSA to be working with the OEM; Westinghouse Nuclear,” says Joe Rossi, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for TCSA.
In addition to the work in Brazil, TCSA will be installing three nuclear DGCs domestically in 2010: one at Entergy Corporation’s ANO 1 and two at Dominion North Anna.
TCSA selected again for Alterrex Retrofit
Partnering with Protec, TCSA has been selected to provide a
dual source bus fed excitation system for the Coletto Creek plant in Texas.
Installation and commissioning is scheduled for 2010.
Glen Canyon Nears Full Completion
TCSA completed the commissioning
of the seventh static exciter at the Glen Canyon Dam in December, 2009.During the multi-year project, TCSA converted
the rotating exciters to PPT only static exciters on each of the eight
units in the Glen Canyon Power Plant. The final unit will be commissioned
in 2010 following repairs to the generator.
TCSA awarded 2nd contract with Bureau of Reclamation
Building on the continuing success at the Glen Canyon Dam, on May 1st, TCSA was awarded the contract with the US Bureau of Reclamation to retrofit the excitation system at the Fontenelle Dam near Kemmerer, Wyoming. This turnkey project includes asbestos abatement activities and is scheduled for completion in December of 2009.
TCSA to retrofit static exciters at the New Melones Dam
Building on the completion of two successful projects with
the US Bureau of Reclamation, TCSA has been awarded the contract to replace two
1200 amp static exciters at the New Melones Dam in central California.
Partnering with Koontz Electric of Morrilton, Arkansas,TCSA will deliver the exciters in 2010 with
installation and commissioning scheduled for early 2011.
TCSA reaches 50% Milestone at Glen Canyon Dam
